The
Denmark boss says the Ajax youngster is set for a move to a European
giant amid speculation linking him with a switch to Bundesliga outfit
Borussia Dortmund this summer
Ajax attacker Christian Eriksen is ready for a move to a bigger club, according to Denmark coach Morten Olsen.Speculation has intensified in recent weeks over where the 21-year-old will be plying his trade next season, with some believing he is being lined up by Borussia Dortmund in a bid to replace Bayern Munich-bound Mario Gotze.
Olsen, who coaches the starlet at international level, says Eriksen has come of age and is well-equipped to handle a move to one of Europe's finest clubs.
"This is the right time for him to go," Olsen told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. "There are many players who moved to a top club too early, but Christian is really ready.
"He played great against Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, PSV and Feyenoord this season, so maybe that's where Dortmund's interest stems from."
In addition to BVB coach Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is also rumoured to be a fond admirer of the Denmark international - whose Ajax deal expires next summer - but last month the Dutch champions denied reports of a deal being struck by the Reds to bring the youngster to Anfield.
